ADOPTION PENDING!

Ellie is a wonderful 2 year old white German Shepherd, who is a loving companion.  She was adopted after getting spayed at Cornell University via the Horseheads Animal Shelter.  She was an excellent patient and charmed everyone along the way.  She has lived with a couple and their cat for a couple months, where she has healed up and established a healthy athletic weight of 57 lbs.  Ellie is a gentle cuddler and plays around the house with the cat and her toys.  She loves going on walks, exploring trails and playing in the snow.  She is housetrained and has learned some basic commands.  Ellie can stay home alone loose (uncrated) with her cat and just relax.  It wasn't until she was already adopted that her new owners realized, she was never socialized with other dogs.  You can see she wants to meet other dogs she just gets extremely excited and does not know how to make a proper introduction.   After a few professional training/socialization sessions she made some headway however, her owners realized they do not have the time to excercise her and then socialize her.
Ellie has so much potential and just needs an owner who can provide her the opportunity to integrate with other dogs so she can live a fulfilled "dog" life.
